12Cr1MoV Steel Plate
12Cr1MoV steel plate is a low-alloy heat-resistant steel specified in the Chinese National Standard (GB/T 3077, GB/T 5310). It contains 0.08%~0.15% carbon, 0.9%~1.2% chromium, 0.25%~0.35% molybdenum, and 0.15%~0.30% vanadium. It corresponds to the United States ASTM A335 P12 steel plate and the Japanese JIS G4105 SCMV4 steel plate.
What is 12Cr1MoV steel Plate?
12Cr1MoV steel offers excellent strength and heat resistance, with a tensile strength of ≥490 MPa, yield strength of ≥255 MPa, elongation of ≥20%, reduction of area of ≥45%, and impact energy of ≥39 J. In its normalized and tempered state, the hardness typically ranges from 160–200 HB, while after annealing, it is usually ≤163 HB.
Additionally, 12Cr1MoV steel exhibits good weldability and creep resistance, making it particularly suitable for high-temperature service up to 580 °C. It is widely used in the manufacturing of boiler tubes, high-pressure vessels, steam pipelines, and turbine components. Furthermore, it has significant applications in the power generation and petrochemical industries. Due to its excellent high-temperature strength and stability, 12Cr1MoV steel is especially prominent in the production of superheater tubes, header pipes, and other critical components operating under long-term thermal stress.
