NM450 steel is a high-strength, wear-resistant steel plate with an average Brinell hardness of 450 HBW. Its mechanical properties are 3 to 5 times those of ordinary low-alloy steel plates, with a yield strength above 950 MPa and tensile strength around 1180 MPa.
NM450 steel’s excellent wear resistance and high hardness (430-470 HB) make it ideal for use in mining, metallurgy, construction, and machinery manufacturing. It is commonly used for wear plates, liners, and conveyor belts, significantly extending the service life of equipment.

What is the difference between NM450 and Hardox 450?
NM450 is a Chinese wear-resistant steel grade, while Hardox 450 is produced by the Swedish company SSAB. Both steel grades have almost identical chemical compositions and mechanical properties, but they adhere to different standards. NM450 is considered more cost-effective compared to Hardox 450.

NM400 is a high-strength wear-resistant steel plate with mechanical properties 3 to 5 times those of ordinary low-alloy steel. Applications of NM450 Steel Plate

Examples: Gravel and stone conveying equipment (such as routes, chutes, hoppers), crushing equipment, shovels, excavators, forklifts, trailers, bulldozers, dump trucks, dredgers, crushers, grinders, screens, hoppers, mixers, and concrete aggregate molds.
2.Mining Machinery:
Examples: Fans, dischargers, spiral chutes, crushers, grinders, screens, and conveyors.
3.Cement and Refractory Material Plants:
Examples: Crushers, chutes, and cyclone separators.
